We have found lately that more of our users are needing to use Edge, Chrome, etc to perform their daily tasks. The hard part about that is we are required to utilize IE for certain websites still. I have been attempting to get these websites to work within Edge using IE mode. We utilize O for some apps, but our domain is not manageable in the cloud. Most items are on-prem. I’ve utilized the Enterprise mode site list manager and have tried different compatibility modes. My issue is I will go to the sites in my list but they don’t run in IE mode automatically.

Shouldn’t these just automatically just run in the IE enumeration correctly? I’ll give these a shot- I thought when I had it configured with IE11 it would open in IE which is what we are trying to get away from, but I could be wrong. As for the site URL for It ends up being a JavaScript that runs. Thanks for the input! I’ll have to keep testing to see if I can get JavaScript and other older related items to run in the browser with compatibility Active-x for example.

I’m happy that you’ve made progress! Tip: Setting that I use for those pesky sites that runs everything in a pop-up window: “Allow pop-up windows on specific sites”. I would question why any site still needs IE at all. This will happen, so you are on the clock for a permanent fix.

Unfortunately, I work for county government and we have state employees whom use state programs. The state has not upgraded or moved a majority of their systems despite us housing their employees. So, at this time we have to make do with what we have while continuing to support our internal county users while trying to keep it secure.
